I began to test the waters online in 1999.  I have been through the gamut of BS and HYPE that is so prevalent in the  online world.  Even when your only intent was to use the Internet for what it was first intended to be used for... research.

That was even before my time here online when I felt computers were for nerds and the online world was an intrusion in my private life.

But having a young son of 8 years old at the time and wanting to give him all the tools and education  he needed to gain an edge in the world coming.

So we purchased a computer for him to use for homework, research and such.  After all his granddad had been online researching genealogy and seemed to enjoy it greatly.  Since granddad was online it was only natural to get online too so they could communicate via email.  It was instant and fun.

Of course this old "Hostile Redneck" wanted nothing to do with the computer at the time.  Little did I know that my world was about to change too.  Just as yours is changing today.

Since then I have become frustrated too many times to bother counting, met folks that made you believe in them and then they changed.  Imagine that.  I have been slickered a time or two also.  Just so you know I have learned a thing or two.  Save yourself some headaches subscribe to GIMS Report.  I know you will be glad you did.
